Job Title: Inventory and Resource Specialist

Department: Student Engagement Programs

Reports To: Native American Programs and Services Coordinator 

Location: 50 Penn Place- OKC office

Comp: 40,000-45,000

 

Summary: 

The Inventory and Resources Specialist reports to and works directly with the Native American Programs Director. The Specialist implements and maintains the Title VI inventory management system. The Specialist will oversee the processing and distribution of these materials into the department to be checked out for Native American Program team members, Epic staff, and student usage. The Specialist will track the department's purchasing using the task management software to keep accurate inventory lists. This person will work in the Oklahoma City office.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Implement an inventory tracking system that supports audit procedures
  • Maintain accurate records within the inventory tracking system and task management software
  • Develop a checking out system and process for inventory items to maintain accurate location status at all times
  • Collaborate within and outside the department in preparation for monthly updates and spontaneous audits
  • Responsible for organizing, sorting, and distributing various books, study materials, curriculum packets, and learning manipulatives for students, teachers, and staff
  • Create and assemble cultural kits for workshops and events
  • Sort, Collect, package, and ship various items for students and staff
  • Distribute materials, books, cultural kits, and other inventory items to the Tulsa office and other regions as needed
  • Evaluate the usage of materials and provide recommendations for future purchases
  • Estimate purchasing needs based on planned events and utilization of inventory items
  • Serves as a liaison between home, school, and the community

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • No supervisory responsibilities

 

Education and/or Experience 

  • Familiarity with inventory/auditing accountability systems and procedures is preferred.
  • Experience working with Native American students, tribes, and tribal organizations
  • Ability to learn and navigate new software quickly 
  • Excellent organization, project management, and time management skills

Reasoning Ability 

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 

Computer Skills 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills (required.) Computer proficiency in Windows, Zoom, Microsoft Office, and Google Tools required. Must have a high aptitude to learn new software as necessary for the business operations of the school.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations 

  • Current driver's license and valid car insurance

  • Must be able to pass a state-mandated background check after a conditional offer of employment is made
